1998 [more pics]
Features: Passive Bartolini Soapbars, active Bartolini preamp, Korina body (black stain), maple fingerboard, wenge neck.
Story:
Purchased in 1998 used. Sat at Bass NW for months trying basses, and ended up with my first love.
Sound: Clear, articulate, bright, clean. Make a mistake and you'll hear it. Records like magic. Vintage tones? Not here.

2001
Features:
Alder body, Flame maple top, Mike Pope preamp, Aero pickups, maple neck/fingerboard, 21 fret.
Story: Purchased used on Ebay. Pay, cross fingers, and pray.
Sound: Full, deep, tasty, smooth. Truly an amazingly flexible bass. The preamp/pickups really make the tone of this bass, but you really just have to experience a fodera to understand.

2002 [more pics]
Features:
Quilted maple top, Alder body, AERO single-coil pickups, Demeter preamp, Maple neck/fingerboard, sunbust finish.
Story: Purchased at Bass NW. Played it on a whim, then had (don't laugh) a dream about it. What a freak.
Sound: Snappy, punchy, bright. The Demeter pre is crazy open and transparent, the Alder body gives it nice depth. The absolute best feeling neck i've ever played.

2002
Features:
Ash body, Maple fb/neck, Sadowsky pu & preamp
Story: Ebay/The Dudepit
Sound:
Vintage. Records amazingly well. Not as deep sounding as the Elrick or MTD, but cuts through a mix in a beautiful, supportive way. Great midrange punch without gettin honky. The perfect bass for a supporting role (because i'm not a Marcus Miller fan).

2002
Features:
Hollowbody, low-impedence pickup
Story: Dudepit
Sound: Not as annoying fat and bloated as you'd expect, rather it has a captivating midrange grunt to it, extremely addictive to play. Body is pretty damn uncomfortable on a strap or sitting. And yes, that's a real signature!

1994

Features:
Beastie Boys Sticker
Story: Purchased at a pawn shop for $75 (thanks Grandma!) as my first bass.
Sound: Surprisingly good, considering. Can do the P-bass thing ok - but can't stay in tune to save my soul. Fun to play, action's about 4 feet off the neck. NOT FOR SALE.
